New Years eve in Barra de Navidad.
We spend the evening with our friends April, Andrew, John and Luke from el Tiburon. Mary from the boat Besame also joined us for the celebration.
We had dinner in town, went to nearly all the bars and ended up at the night club at hotel.
Next day was a very quiet one for all of us.
On the 30th of December we arrived in Barra de Navidad, where we had reserved a slip in the marina at the Grand Bay Hotel.
The hotel is located on Isla Navidad, and is considered to be the most luxurious hotel on the West coast of Mexico. And it really is impressive, 3 pools, jacuzzi, 4 restaurants, yoga clsases on the beach every day etc.
The village Barra de Navidad is located just a short boat ride away, and you get there by water taxis that pick you up at your boat and take you across the bay.

Tomorrow Kim is going back to Denmark after spending one month on the boat with us.
The rest of us, Laurent, John and I, will continue towards Barra de Navidad where we plan to spend New Year together with our friends from El Tiburon.
On the 6th of January Charlotte will join us for 6 weeks.
Bye bye Kim, we will miss you on the boat (and also your very tasty food)

We had a very nice Danish Christmas dinner on the 24th of December.
The menu was lobster, duck with red cabbage and browned potatoes, and ris a la mande for dessert. It was delicious, and everybody loved it.
Our friends Omar and Geoff from Un Mundo came to celebrate with us, and we had a great evening.
On the 25th we celebrated Christmas the gringo way, with 60 other cruisers from other boats in the marina.
Many of them we already knew from La Paz or other places we have stopped on the way.
